Hold down home + Sleep/Awake buttons 30 seconds together and let it to restart. Might be your problem will solve. I had same problem with my Iphone 3GS, now its fixed using same method.

OK. Then Connect your Iphone to laptop using your USB cable, Open Itunes (usually it will open automatically). Wait few seconds, itunes will automatically find your device to synchronize with it. Press restore button in the Itunes to restore the device. If it doesn't work Hold down home+sleep/awake buttons until appear apple logo then release both buttons. (within 30 seconds u can see the apple logo).
