[2008-05-09 12.25pm] The Sri Lanka Army has captured the Adampan town area this morning (May 09th), the Defence Ministry website reported quoting the Media Center for National Security (MCNS).
At least 15 terrorists were killed in clashes in the area, the MCNS said.
Two soldiers were killed while 7 others were injured, it added.
Last evening, the Army liberated about 2 square kilometer area between the Neelachchena road and the dam of the Adampan tank, in the South of Adampan town, defence sources added.
