Army guns down an LTTE suicide bomber - Vavuniya
Troops have gunned down an LTTE suicide bomber who attempted to attack at an Army picket deployed at Nelukkalma in Vavuniya around 9.30, this morning (January 23). According to the defence sources in the area, troops have found a belt -bomb worn by suicide bombers and a micro pistol in the possession of the slain terrorist.
A search operation has been launched in the area.
