The Asian Barbarians rugby team will tour Sri Lanka in late September to play two matches. It will give Sri Lanka the much needed exposure against foreign opposition before the Asian Division One tournament in Taiwan in October this year.
The Asian Barbarians team will comprise mostly of second string players of Japan and South Korea so that the Lankans would be able to match up to them. The Arabian Gulf team will also tour Sri Lanka in early October to play one match which will also serve as a warm-up match for the Asian Division One tournament.
Sri Lanka will compete in the Asian Division One Tournament in the last week of October, 2008 in which Sri Lanka, China, Singapore and Chinese Taipei. Will be taking part.
