    PR Journey .... 🇨🇦

    ♦️2018 October- signed the agreement with the lawyer Zenith Immigration, Mr. Bandula Abeysinghe

    ♦️2018 December IELTS 1st Attempt (6 for writing needed 7)

    ♦️2019 January - express entry score increased, need completion of MBA for more points

    ♦️2019 - completed MBA, while working with a 1 year old who had colic

    ♦️2019 March - 2nd attempt of IELTS ( 6.5 for writing)

    ♦️ 2019 April - 3rd attempt of IELTS ( 6.5 again)

    ♦️2019 April - applied for IELTS recorrection, score didn't change

    ♦️2019 May- Education verification documents for my BA from UK University got misplased in royal mail
    Had to re do it

    ♦️2019 June - 4th attempt of IELTS ( writing 6.5 again) tried for the last time

    ♦️2019 June - Gave up 😔
    2019 - July - Education vefication completed

    ♦️2019 July- decided to try one more time. 5th Attempt IELTS ( Listning- 8.5, writing-7, Speaking -8, Reading -9) ✨️ I studied while traveling and under hot sun in bellanwila park until my son finishes pre-school)

    ♦️2019 August- Education verification with MBA completed

    ♦️2019 November - Dependant Ielts completed

    ♦️2019 December - IELTS certificate didn't receive, got lost in the courier service
    Had to find the delivery guy, threatened him and got the document.. ( he has stopped going to work while keeping the documents with him😒 )

    ♦️2019 December 7th - Canadian express entry profile submitted

    ♦️2019 December 8th - Invitation to apply for PR received

    ♦️2019 - needed to lodge for PR before March. Had no money for proof of fund

    ♦️2020 January - sold the house (the biggest risk I have taken)
    Wasn’t easy with Covid restrictions in the country

    ♦️2020 January - sold all furniture and etc.. and shifted to a small rented house

    ♦️2020 March 7th - PR Lodged

    ♦️2020 April - Bio metrics and medical

    ♦️2020 May - IRCC stopped processing PR applications due to COVID 19 and no expected time was mentioned

    Complete silence, we were supposed to get the PR within 6 months 🙁🙁🙁

    ♦️2021 March - re did medicals, police clearance expired

    ♦️2021 September - police clearance submitted again

    ♦️2021- no clue - but started doing Canadian certifications online

    ♦️2021 September - IRCC announced the starting of clearing the PR backlog

    ♦️2022 - gave up and lost all trust on IRCC. No update was provided

    ♦️2022 June - purchased a Canadian number from an app and tried calling at mid night to IRCC to get an update. Waited almost 2 hours to get connected but had no use

    ♦️2022 July - after nearly 2 years, IRCC requested to submit an updated medical and police clearance

    ♦️2022 July - submitted medicals and police clearance for the 3rd time

    ♦️2022 July - IRCC requested to pay the PR fee

    ♦️2022 July- couldn't do the full payment because of the dollar transfer restrictions in the country. Did only half payment

    ♦️2022 August - Full payment done

    ♦️2022 September - Confirmation of Permanent residency received

    ♦️2022 October 4th - packed our lives into 6 luggage and left

    ♦️2022 October - Arrived in Canada and became Permanent residents

    It wasn't easy ; and now you know why you should not give up 😊 #resilience #tenacity
