I don't think Streaming is dead nor will it ever be.
But your main point is true. which is they should stop or at least reduce platform specific content (Exclusive Content).
Because of this platform exclusive content, people has to sub to many services even if they want only one show. this reduce competition.

Instead of that they have be at least like music streaming services, most of the albums you have on spotify also available on apple music, tidal etc.
[i know music platforms also has exclusive contents but they're relatively low compared to the video streaming]

Can't blame the people because if you subscribe to multiple streaming services, the monthly cost would end up around $150 due to their outrageous prices and exclusive contents.
