Most of the genetic cases appear on Males.mamath danna families dekaka ayata autism thiyena lamai innawa.
mama ahala thiyenne boys la witharai autism haduna, oka male dna walata balapana genetics scene ekak da danne na.
global level ekenuth autism hadenna exact hethuwa & treatments na neda? Most of the genetic cases appear on Males.
The reason is males have XY and females XX.
Suppose there is a bad gene. Let's call it as X`.
So when X` is on females X`X. Most of the time she doesn't show any symptoms but carry the disease to the next generation.
Female shows problems when they have both X`X`.
When X` on males they show problems. Since their only X is an affected X.

Autism is getting very common these days
මචන් සින්හලෙන් දාපන්කො ඔය ලෙඩේ ගැන ගොඩක් අයට කියවන්න රිසෝසස් නෑAutism was always there... It's mainly increased because it's diagnosed now. Sadly in SL many cases go undetected and undiagnosed, and no proper autism support groups that creates awareness or support. However, there are a few fb groups now. Parents do need proper advice on how to deal with an autistic kid.
More than a year ago, long before Covid I requested from a member who writes on medical facts here in Sinhalese to write on Autism as I thought it was very important. Sadly he probably didn't get time to do so and then Covid arrived.
There is no single gene when mutated that causes autism. But scientists know that there are more than 100 genes that are linked with autism. Out of these about half of them were associated with other developmental delays. It's a complex condition. Also some studies show that the risk factors does get passed from the father, and not from the mother.
As @Honda.putha mentioned boys are more likely to have autism... about 3 to 1. (it was thought to be 4 to 1 before). In general , people who are XXY (a rare condition with one extra X chromosome) have a much higher chance than who are XY, who in turn have a much higher chance than those with XX.
One leading cause of autism is the Fragile X Syndrome. One in three with this syndrome has autism.
That's exactly why I requested the other member who writes so well n Sinhalese to do a post. Maybe I will send him a PM.මචන් සින්හලෙන් දාපන්කො ඔය ලෙඩේ ගැන ගොඩක් අයට කියවන්න රිසෝසස් නෑ
