The Australian Government says help has been offered to the UNICEF spokesman in Sri Lanka who has been ordered out of the country.
James Elder is an Australian citizen who has been accused of spreading anti-Government propaganda.
The Foreign Minister Stephen Smith says at this stage Mr Elder says he does not need help from Australia.
Mr Smith says it seems he has only been doing his job.
"I of course haven't seen all of the things that he's said and don't have all knowledge of all of the things that he's done, but the things that I've seen him say I regard essentially as someone making the point that the Australian Government has made," he said.
"It is very important that the international agencies have full and complete access to the displaced people's camps, whether it's UNICEF - which does great work - or the International Red Cross."(Australia network news)
