Australians cannot  even pronounce Sri Lankan names so very often they are not even called  for interviews. Sri Lankan and Indian workers are called 'curry munchas'  in work places. This is true, sometimes called a blakie. If we question  them they will tell you its Australian humor or will ask you to ignore  it. Other migrants who has a heavy accent also have problems.  Australians think they speak they best English in the world, but when  they speak English in UK, Brits laugh at them. Perhaps they are not  aware of it. I work in Aussie too. I also dont get interviews simply  because they cannot say my name. My qualifications are best in my  profession but I dont have a full time job, why...?. anyone can  guess.... Migrants put up with Aussies simply because their money is  good... so life goes on.... </blockquote>
