Hey bro ~v3n0m~ , u r right. Barclay's tends to sell faulty quipment or they just bring rejected items from other countries n sell it in SL.
I faced a similar prob when I bought a D-Link 4 port wireless router from there. After using da router for about 3 months, in da 4th month my internet speed dropped down really low, i was a bit concerened but i thought may it's due to network traffic or some tech fault with SLT or it's cuz i had put a few stuff 2 download in Utorrent.
Then I stopped all da downloads n started surfing the net and it was still very slow. All of a sudden when i was using da net, my router had got disconnected. I checked my router and it was off and non of the lights were working. I thought there was a prob with da plug point so I plugged da router in various other points in da house n checked n still it didn't work. I used one of my friend's adapter n checked, still da router did not switch on.
Then I took it back to them n told them the story n they said they'll send it 2 their agent and asked me 2 call them n check within a week. After a week when I called they told me that my router is repaired and 2 come n collect it. So I collected it n asked them da fault n they said they don't know what's da prob, its da agents who repaired it.
I brought it back home n the router was working perectly but on da same day at night the router got disconnected n never switched on again.
Luckily my uncle is an electronics expert he told me that he can fix it but the warranty sticker will be damaged and my warranty will be void. I told him I don't care as long as my router works. He opened it n checked, the prob was that 2 of da resistors in the router circuit were touching each other n hence there is a short circuit because of that the router get's switched off n doesn't turn on again. He moved one resistor away from the other n da router has been working perfectly ever since.
Now im wondering how come the warranty sticker was not even removed when i gave them 4 repair because if u remove the warranty sticker even once, it can never be stuck again in da same way. I don't think they have stuck a new sticker cuz da sticker was in da same place. So what does this mean????

why should i read reviews and spend 100 of hours on that before buying? if im buying a card made by a reputed manufacture and also from selling it with a warranty? reading reviews before buying isnt always possible. and not everyone is doing that.
and i have seen some pople reporting various problems with that card. in some forums. but some says it works without any problem. seems like there are some faulty stocks and this unityplaza ppl might have imported a faulty stock for a lowered price.
some forum guys suggested me to download and apply its bios and try it again. but i could do it cos i dont want to risk my money for taht.
