A leaked telephone conversation between the BBC reporter of Sri Lanka - Azzam Ameen (https://www.facebook.com/AzzamAmeenSL/) - BBC News සිංහල, former State Minister of Highways & Road Development of Sri Lanka - Ranjan Ramanayake (who is currently behind bars) and Member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka - Wijith Wijayamuni Zoysa is evident how Mr. Ameen as a representative of BBC used his post for political gains of the 2019 Presidential Candidate - Sajith Premadasa.

The conversation proves how Mr. Ameen provided information to Mr. Ramanayake of a future interview and even guided how to answer those questions to attack the opposition candidate (current President Gotabaya Rajapakse) and his political party. Also Mr. Ameen provided further instructions and guidance for the election campaign.
