Bad experience at Premier Phone Shop at Mount Lavinia

Today I had a very bad experience with the Phone shop located at Mount Lavinia which is named Premier Telecom Solutions. I bought a mobile phone from them on last Friday to be gifted to my wife on her birthday. However my wife did not like the model of the phone so she wanted me to change it. Another thing was that the slider of the phone had a play.

Then I took the phone to them and explained the situation and requested to change it. They started raising their voice and didnt want to help me at all. I said them that I never used the phone and even I didnt charge it. After that I phoned the owner of the shop too but the response was same.

I again checked with Softlogic and I got to know that this phone was sold over priced. What I realized out of this is if you are buying something buy from the Agent. Other small shops here and their claiming they give 2 3 years warranty and a good service will not even know how to talk to you when you are in a trouble or in need for a help. Or else the best option is buy it from Singapore or even from Petah. Although you dont get a warranty you will surely get a good price.

sorry to hear about your bad experience, and I also saw a another thread earlier today saying that someone had very bad service,and even charged for parts, for phones with warranty. what phone did you buy??? Softlogic is the best agent, I had a bad phone and softlogic was kind enough to repair the phone with no questions asked. another friend of mine got a replacement, because hes phone was unrepairable. I dont even suggest buying from pettah, there not reliable. I know someone who bought a phone and got screwed because the phone didnt switch on. for all my friends here I would suggest to buy from softlogic with a peace of mind, or even from John kells. because those people are genuine, not these small shops trying to play.

true enough the above poster..
just because your wide doesn't like it, they won't give you an exchange...
that's a lame ass excuse... if the phone was to be faulty or something then they would've deffa changed it..
of course buy it from Softlogic if you are willing to pay a several thousand rs more than RRP by Nokia...
Before buying whatever the phone you wanna buy..
always check with hitad and other sort of advertisements to identify and to get a knowledge about the current prices of ur desired phone before going to a shop like a 2 year old kid buying gummy bear....

i too think, that's not a good excuse for changing the item ... anyway even Manufactures can't provide 2 - 3 years warranty ... its just a marketing trick ... As you said its always better to go for the Authorized Reseller

Thanks for all your replies. I understand it’s my fault. But all I was expecting was some humanity. Normally I go for Soft logic but that day I did not have time so did a quick decision and it turned out to be a bad one. When it comes to humanity I think "Amba mudalalila, Elavalu wikunana aya" has more of it than this small shop owners. Yo Mr. 4keven4, seems like ya never gifted anything to ya mamma. And again the day you get ya ass stuck in a similar shit and it'll make ya realize how it feels.
