Two armed men robbed cash amounting to Rs. 1.7 million from a private bank at Rawathawatta in Moratuwa. One person was killed during the incident. He was later identified as a driver of a vehicle who had arrived at the bank to deposit cash, Police Spokesman Ranjith Gunasekara told www.news.lk a short while ago.
“A special police squad has already been deployed to investigate the robbery”, he added.
