You may be professor/dean/head in respected university, or a manager in top reputed company or  part time worker cleaning toilets ..............Just call first name and shake hand e.g if you meet someone (e.g Professor  Kumara Hirimburegama, vice Vice-Chancellor of university of colombo) , say "hey  Kumara, how are you doing man?" (or in Sinhalese if you wish "kumara kohomada ithin?).
