BCS or HND in Computing (Help)

Machan, I am thinking of getting either one of above 2 qualifications. Can you guys tell me what's the best out of two? As far as I know BCS is exam based while HND is assignment based. What should I choose? What qualification provides best opportunities for overseas study migration? What are the best institutes?

BCS is considered as a degree equivalent qualification and HND is a diploma. If you want a degree qualification it is better to do BCS. But once you complete a HND, you can a do top up degree programme. It depends on the HND you are doing. I do not know about overseas study migrations. But you can join a degree programme even in Sri Lanka.
For BCS Esoft (Colombo) is good for me. I have done BCS @ Esoft, I do not know about HNDs.

Thanks Buddy. Classes are ok with Esoft. Can you tell me how to register for the program with BCS? Should I do it before taking classes? BCS office is at Colombo 7 right? I think applications ends on January 2015.

If you go to a course provider like Esoft, you do not have to worry about registration. They will do everything for you. When the exams come closer they will notify you everything.

Thanks Machan. I don't think local universities(Colombo or Moratuwa) offer any top up degrees for HND. Am I right? In that case I'd have to go for an overseas university. So its very important to choose a good institute which facilitate overseas studies. What institutes do you prefer?
