Best Airline to travel to Sri Lanka from UK

Hi,


I have not travel in Sri Lankan airlines for couple of years and would like to know the quality of the flight.

Anyone traveled to SL from UK or vice versa in a Sri Lankan flight.

Any other flight you can recommend.

We went from Singapore to Paris return with Sri Lankan last month. We got a good deal flying Business class. The Paris-Colombo sector was the new A300-300 it was very nice. The service also was very good. Check their website the price for Business class with Sri Lankan was less than half that of Singapore or Emirates.

Flying Sri Lankan is the best option since it's a direct flight from LHR to CMB and UL is using all the new A330-300 flights for this route.

Other options are Oman Air, Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Etihad.

i have travelled on Qatar airlines a few times (from Colombo to USA, no experience going to UK) and they are indeed good. But i think sri lankan should also be good.
AFAIK Qatar are ranked second or third best in the world after Emirates. Their Food is very good. One USA flight was 16.5 hours long and they served 3 meals + snacks from time to time. also the baggage allowance is okay.

i don't know where sri lankan ranks, but generally it should be good especially for sri lankans, at least in the food aspect + friendliness of the staff. They have some offers/discounts from time to time as well. Tickets are also affordable afaik compared to Qatar/Emirates. So yeah for frequent trips Sri lankan should be a good choice.

Seen good reviews about Qatar airlines. Maybe next time opt for fly Qatar airways.
