abroad degree eka kalath machan lankawe job ekak karanna hithanawa num special chance ekak ubata labenne naa..eka nisa lankawe private uni ekakata yanna..IIT,APIIT,NIBM hoday

At present there are many private institutions in Sri Lanka which offer bachelors degree in IT such as SLIIT, NIBM, APIIT, IIT, ICBT, ACBT, Cinec, and etc. Some institutes offer UK degrees and some offer asian degrees. It actually depends on the institute you select. If you can afford a foreign university fee you better go to a country like UK and do your higher studies there. If I was you I would have chosen UK. Because British education has a very good standard. This is just only an opinion.

It's totally your choice..if you like and have money go abroad and experience life..But have to say plz don't get stuck in a uni..there are friends of mine still doing their repeat exams at the age of 25.Lot of people here do 4 year full time degrees and by the time they get out they still get recruited as trainees for another 2-3 years...and you'll have to sit and waste your ass on a chair for 4 years even.

I would say don't start a full time degree..first join to a associate or HND program(normally 18 months) by the time you are doing this get recruited to a medium company or as a trainee or intern...So after 1-2 years you have the HND or associate degree.+ experience+money. From their you can apply to any top-up degree as you wish.(do part time)

The risk of doing 4 year full time is if you get fed up in the 2nd year or 3rd(lot do)(may be you'll not like the uni,or the progamm sucks etc) you don't get any qualifications if you stopped it in the middle.and all your time will be wasted.I'm saying this because as you grow up your mind changes heavily .;)

    anyway it's your choice

If you choose a subject that you like to study, the institute or the country doesnt matter much. But if you have money to spend go to UK, US. You'll have the advantage of having more like minded people and new people, culture is a nice experience for life.

But dont think of working part time and studying in these countries as its really hard to balance this with the current economic climate. Heard Aus and NZ are relatively easier but ask someone whose studying there before you decide..

    Good luck :)
