well......I would say Mahela is the best out of the captains given above

But Sanath jayasuriya was incredible..did a good job as he rebuilded the team...but of course Aravinda and Murali and Vaas were there but he really brought SL Cricket to what it is now

Not happy with Sangakkara's performance though...although he is a great personality for a captain

Arjuna was okay...probably the best captain in the SL world-cup winning era but I really don't know much

for me Arjuna was the best captain Sri Lanka ever had.
1. Arjuna play karana kale team work eka maximum..it was not about money..it was all about team work.. A kale api match dinne nee..idala hitala ekak dinne..eth team eke okkoma maara kepawimen sellam kala..A kepawima dan nee... for example : Roshan Mahanawa wage catch walata kawda dan paninne.A wage catches den cricket world eketh dakinna neee...Aravindala gahapu HUK shot eka mathakada ..? ewa den kooooo....??? dan bounser walata oluwa bera gannawa witharai...den cricket kiyanne salli witharai...

2. Jayasuriya is the best. Maybe he's gone down in popularity of late but he's by far the best ever Sri Lankan captain. He built up a team after everything fell apart, and most of all he didn't let the job get in to his head.

Arjuna tried to own it. Mahela gave it away just in time to save his neck and Sanga is destroying himself with it. No offense, I love them as cricketers, but Sanga's actions are ridiculous and Mahela was only concerned about self preservation when quiting, not "the right time".

A Captan Needs to be clever and has to think fast. His decisions have to provide results. The best SL gave has been Arjuna. He was very shroud and that won matches.

Sri Lanka has not yet produced a Captan like Arjuna n a batsman like Aravinda.

Mahela is the 2nd best but he is far to compare with Arjuna. SL lost many games that they should not have lost, read the pitch incorrectly, took wrong decisions during its tour to Australia under Mahela. Arjuna did not do these mistakes.
