Well, you can download "GParted" and install it into a USB drive. Make sure you follow the procedures correctly:

Alternatively you can use Acronis Disk Director and use that from a USB drive, but the USB drive should be in FAT32 format for Acronis Disk Director to work when you boot.
This way, you don't need a CD-ROM drive to partition your HD.

Well, it's not difficult at all. It's pretty easy! You just have to make sure you don't click on files you're not meant to which shouldn't be hard at all...
