BIOS flashing

5 times I did.3 for old mobo 2 for the now using.I had and have MSI Mobos.they have thing called live update and frm that u can update ur bios frm windows.But I flashed them in DOS .It just takes about 1 min.In windows it will take about 10 mins like.
Always use the parameters when flashing with dos {specially if u use AMI bios]and use a UPS.But Ive never usd ..

I can't do it from DOS because,
1. I don't have a floppy drive
2. I won't do it even if I could

Gigabytes' got their DualBIOS® chips for the Best BIOS.Usually theyve got two 1MB bios chips.One for use one for backup.Wonder why is that..
MSI comes with 512KB one.ASUS comes with about 2MB for their Mylogo program which u can have a picture of ur like when booting the PC.

Not all of them have dual BIOS.

There aren't any ill-effects if you do it properly. You have to always read the readme file. Just because one has previous experience from a different motherboard doesn't mean he/she can try to flash the BIOS just like that

U can Edit ur BIOS image if u want to have a picture in it.there r programs for that.
And y should I?My mobo comes with an MSI Diamond logo embedded into BIOS. I will never want to loose it.

I'm getting one for 10 mentions of the word "Vista". So that's about 20-30 DVDs. Cool.
