    The Centurion Card, popularly known as the Black Card issued by AmEx.
    The Centurion Card provides access to a range of exclusive privileges.
    In the US, invitations are no longer sent for the card.,
    is a Charge card To become a card holder, one is required to pay an annual fee;
    as of 2007, the annual fee in the United States was $2,500.

    in the United States, stated requirements to become a card holder included minimum
    annual spending of $250,000
    ,
    exceptional credit history and significant financial assets
    .

    However, the requirements could be waived for celebrities and public figures.
    Requirements for acceptance in other countries can differ slightly.

    There is a US $5,000 one-time initiation fee for new primary card holders, plus
    the annual fee of US $2,500.

    well in sl also thr are a hand full of ppl who use dis,
    yup d card is really nice,
    as far as i herd a businessman in our country bought a company wth his black card

    Damn...with the current situation in the credit market, u gotta be a big shot to be using that card. At least to be qualified for it...lol

    No machang No Sri Lankan has a AmEx. May be the person u r talking is not a citizen in Sri Lanka!
    My class teacher is Snr. Mktg. Manager of AmEx(in SL its operated by Nations Trust Bank)
    I asked from him he said no Sri Lankan(citizen) has a one!
    And its not operated here!

    wll sad to say mst of tthe ppl in the ntb or crd center dsnt knw even if thrs a black amex card, they only knw of tthe blue, green , and gold,
    and the person i am saying is a sri lanakn citizen and i am sur of it coz i have seen the card wth my own eyes,

    the businessman is one of the top figures in the country,

    the main thng in the blck card is it dsnt go thru local systems, its routed to international bank servers, since its given frm foreign its on thr computers nt ours, just like our crdt crd system
