Two bomb-laden vehicles sent to Sri Lanka capital and outskirts, government says
July 23, Colombo: Sri Lanka Media Center for National Security (MCNS) said the intelligence sources had revealed information that Tamil Tiger rebels had dispatched two bomb laden trucks to the Colombo and suburbs to create sabotage.
The MCNS asked the public to be vigilant and assist the security forces to guarantee the safety and to bear the difficulties caused by the thorough security measures.
Meanwhile Inspector General of Police Victor Perera also verified the information on the two vehicles and said that one is a blue Tata truck and the other a blue Toyota Corolla car. He said that the information was obtained from a suspect and it could be trusted as the other information received from the suspect was correct.
