All big Industries have their part in corrupt deals. Don't you remember Airbus was fined several Billions and ended up in paying 15.9 Million Euros to settle the French Corruption Probe.
PS: That's not to excuse Boeing's attitude with the 737Max. Totally wrong.

Boeing maybe not be corrupted like Airbus, but Boeing has failed in several occasions, EX:-

මේක ටිකක් විශාල යානාවක්..මේක එයාබස් එක්ක බලද්දි මටනම් අවුල් ටිකක්..මේක ලෑන්ඩ් කරද්දී ගැස්සෙනවා එහෙම අඩුයි..හැබැයි අවුල මේකේ සෙනග පිරුනම ඇතුල පට්ට රස්නෙයි කැබින් එක..මම කවදාවත් එයාබස් වල යද්දී අර ඒසී හුලන් එන කෑලි වලින් හුලන් එන්න කරකවගෙන නෑ..හේතුව සීතල නිසා උඩට ගියාම..හැබැයි මේ 777 එකේ සෙනග පිරිලා දාඩිය දාන ලෙවල් එකටම ආවා..අඩි 38000ක් උඩින් යද්දිත් එහෙමයි..ඇතුල රස්නෙයි..සීතලක් නෑ එහෙම බ්ලැන්කට් දුන්නට..මටනම් සෙට් උනේ නෑ නිකම් සෙනග මැද්දේ දාඩිය දාගෙන යනවා වගේ ෆීලින් එකක් ආවේ.

මේ එයාබස් 350 එකනම් ඔය කියන තරම් වෙනසක් නෑ..සාමාන්‍ය එයාබස් එකක්ම තමයි..යන මිනිස්සුන්ට නම් වෙනසක් දැනෙන්නේ නෑ..ටෙක්නිකලි අනම්.මනම් වෙනස් ඇති..

මම මේවා කිව්වේ මට දැනුන විදිය හොදේ..ටෙක්නොලජි අනම් මනම් මම දන්නේ නෑ..

I had a flight booked from Heathrow to Reykjavik just before the Covid lockdown. Icelandic Air informed me that I have to fly at a different time because it's a 737 Max. Due to this rescheduling in allocating a different aircraft they will have to change the flight times. They said they will not fly the 737 Max.
However, Covid struck - they did not refund, but gave me a voucher valid for three years. When I flew last June (2022) they were flying the 737 Max (updated software) and offered me the same flights in & out - I didn't pay a single Dollar extra.

Malaysian 370- Totally different scenario.
