Bonnie Blue has claimed she sold the rights to name her newborn baby for £1.2 million.
In a video shared on social media, Blue said an auction was held before the birth, with several companies placing bids. She claimed the winning offer came from online betting company BetBolt, which reportedly paid £1.2 million for the naming rights.
Blue said: “My auction’s finished, and for £1.2million my baby is called BetBolt. I’m going to be shouting BetBolt across the playground.”
She also admitted she did not yet know much about the company and said she planned to research it before registering the name.
The claim has sparked plenty of attention online, but given Blue’s reputation for provocative publicity stunts, it is also being treated with scepticism.
