C'mon Jay. Premadasa DID help them. But he was becoming the real threat to LTTE. That's why they killed him. You know this better than me. Don't you?

Well yes, I don't know what terrorists would or would not do. Because I'm not a terrorist!

So the conclution is that you think what happened in Pakistan was a LTTE attack?

I am not jumping in to conclusions, but I'm not nullifying the possibility, Punjob govt story of domestic dispute is far fetched................this deliberately targeted SL Team...............who would want to do that????

As for premadasa...........yes I know many things about him..............

As for Jeyaraj.........what are you suggesting............say it in the open, no body can see you here.............................dont go round beating the bush bro

Sri Lanka's tour of Pakistan was cancelled on Tuesday after about 12 unidentified gunmen opened fire and injured the visiting players, including Kumar Sangakkara, Thilan Samaraweera and Ajantha Mendis near the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore this morning.

Seven to eight Sri Lankan players are believed to have received bullet wounds after the gunmen surrounded their team bus and opened fire while they were on their way to the stadium. Today was the third day of the second Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Two of the players are believed to be seriously injured, according to the security officer of the Gaddafi stadium.

According to GEO TV, five policemen who were part of the security ring for the Sri Lankan players were killed on the spot, while two died in the hospital.

Apart from firing at the team, even grenades were lobbed at the Lankan team bus and rocket launchers were reportedly used.

The security in-charge of the Gaddafi stadium was also quoted as saying that some Sri Lankan players were still inside the stadium and that star spinner Muttiah Muralitharan was safe.

The Lankan team media manager said the team taken to high security zone.

Cricinfo's Sri Lanka editor Charlie Austin said there was some explosion before the firing started. He also said that skipper Mahela Jayawardene had also been hit in his ankle.

The Pakistan team has been stopped from reaching Gadaffi and are being taken back to the hotel.

According to reports reaching here, the area has been cordoned off and Kalashnikovs have been recovered from the spot.

A SHOCKING gun attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team which left eight players hurt and five cops dead is likely the work of "well-trained terrorists", police say.
GUNMEN in Pakistan opened fire on a vehicle carrying members of Sri Lanka's national cricket team, killing five police officers and wounding at least eight team members, officials say.
Today's attack in Lahore came at a time of unrest in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, both battling insurgencies but it was unclear who was behind the carefully coordinated assault.

City police chief Haji Habibur Rehman said five policemen died in the shooting.

The attack was likely the work of "well-trained terrorists", he said.

Eight members of the Sri Lankan team were injured near Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan Cricket Board security official Nadeem Iqbal said.

Sri Lankan team manager Brendon Kruppu confirmed the incident and said batsman Kumar Sangakkara was among the injured.

Sri Lankan Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge named two injured players as Tharanga Paranavitana and Thilan Samaraweera and said they were taken to hospital in Lahore after the shooting.

Skipper Mahela Jayawardena was slightly wounded in the foot.

The team bus came under fire as the players headed to the Gaddafi stadium for the third day of the second Test against Pakistan.

"We are assessing the situation," Pakistan cricket board chief Ejaz Butt said.

Security concerns have plagued Pakistan for years and some foreign sports teams including from Australia have refused to play in the troubled nation.

\Sri Lanka agreed to tour - allowing Pakistan to host its first test cricket matches in 14 months - after India and Australia postponed scheduled tours.

    Good. Me neither.
Yes. Governments will always defend their nation.

As for Jeyraj... I'm not suggesting anything :D
This ain't binary in this world Jay. You can't simply answer yes or no. There is always a stance in between. So for me, I have enough reasons to believe LTTE killed him and I have enough reasons to not to believe LTTE killed him. :D Maybe my 'judgement' is poor about it. But that's where I stand.
