One year and 3 months before, I created a jokes web forum and registered it at www.tk domain host. And then myself & few of my friends really worked hard to make this forum a success.
And our effort was not in vain. We saw our members base grew day by day and by last month there were 12,000 members. And our domain name (say www.abc.tk) was very popular amongst Sri Lankans spread throughout the world. As a result our domain name got higher ranks in alexa rankings. Last month, our alexa traffic rank was 205,587 and it got the 402nd rank in Sri Lanka.
Normally there are about 1500-2000 daily visitors to out URL www.abc.tk.
Last week when I typed www.abc.tk in firefox browser and saw some other web page (actually it’s an advertising web page) there under my domain name. I thought I misspelled the URL, then I again visited that URL, the same web page is coming.
So I realize something has gone wrong. I thought someone has hacked my.tk account. Then I logged on to my.tk account and found that our URL www.abc.tk is no more under my.tk account. Oh can you imagine what I felt at that time.
So as soon as possible I sent an e-mail to the admin of www.tk domain host, to claim back my popular domain name www.abc.tk. It has been 2 weeks till I sent the mail to him. And after that also I sent about 4 e-mails to him requesting to explain what has happened. Still not a single word from him.
So what I & you understand in this case? Yes, probably some spammer has found that my domain name is having a higher traffic rank and wanted to use that domain name for spam advertising. So then he requested from the admin of www.tk host that he will pay them a big amount of $$$, if they give him this domain name. So, this f**king admin of www.tk gave my www.****.tk popular domain name to that spammer for a big amount of $$$ and deleted www.abc.tk domain from my account.
So what are you going to learn from this? No more www.tk is a safe place for small web designers like us. In the future they will for sure sell your domain names as well for some amount of $$$, if you have got a significant amount of traffic. So be proactive, if you are using www.tk domain name don’t trust on it. Either buy your own domain name if you have money to buy it. Or else go to some other free URL redirector. I will give some best URL redirectors.

There may be some other free URL redirectors which I don’t know. So my advice is to get some other kind of domain name other than you www.tk domain name. And then inform your visitors about this new domain name. Then they will get used to that new domain name, and hence you will not have a risk of loosing your valuable traffic to some mother f**king spammer.
