13 feared killed and over 20 wounded in bus bomb explosion - Dambulla [Updated]

At least 13 people are feared killed and over 20 wounded in a bus bomb explosion triggered off this morning (February 2) at Dambulla. According to available information, a private bus "Keshani" plying from Kandy to Anuradhapura was caught in the tragic incident at the central bus stand in Dambulla at 7.a.m.

Defence sources believe that this is another treacherous act of the LTTE targeting innocent civilians despite its imminent defeat at Wanni and North.

Casualty figures are believed to toll, Dambulla Hospital sources said.
