It's the same thing with Windows. In Linux, you earn things the hard way by eating up your time. In Windows, you earn things the hard way by eating up hundreds of dollars. Same thing - hard earnings

Open source developers r giving us smething which we can improve, change or do what ever with it and in return they take nothing.
BT Micro$oft gives us smething BiLL GATEs like and we people spend our money and use what they like.

    3D Max 2012 is $3495 which is around Rs. 400000/- not 120K.
There are open source software for 3D modeling. Just like you learned to use 3D max, you have to learn to use them as well.

BTW, who dragged this ancient thread up ?

well i t depends on your use. i mean if you are a normal user with net browsing and office app works and other simple stuff linux or fedora will suit you and far more economical........

but if you are a power user with multimedia entertainment and heavy gaming no use of linux.....it sucks there....

and most importanty if you have a high end computer, whats the use of linux becoz in most modern GPU's are designed to work with Direct x and technologies like nvidia optimus for power serving is not going to work on linux...and no proper support for power management.

so to work with most day today needs go with windows.....

If you are talking about efficiency and latest use of hardware and technologies you should use linux, not windows man :growl::growl::growl::growl: ..... windows takes ages to support these technologies

ex: USB3, 64-bit computing, power efficient kernel threading etc.. etc...

This is why super computers and other new machines use linux....:lol::lol::lol:
Windows is always late in adopting cutting-edge techs, and usually it takes a lot of bug fixing for months to get it right; but never good as linux
