Yeah... Me too... I mean for personal use it's sufficient but when it comes to gaming, well... linux isn't the best solution ne! Still I think Linux will do for me... I use Knoppix sometimes (Right now I'm posting this in knoppix), to make the possible change from windows less unfamilier!

I think the world trend is towards open-source so I believe that we will see many improvements in open-source software in the recent future... It's not only because of the low cost (most of the time they are free) but also because of the dramatic features they incorporate!

Did u ppl hear abt the recently held LinuxAsia 2007?

Moving into Linux is the best choice.. because Linux can customize whatever you want if you know how to do... I have seen people of LUG programming Linux faster than Windows loading..

Linux is good but still not for normal user, if you are a power user then you can manage that but as typical user you will have to face lot of trouble. There are solutions for that but it takes lot of learning time and practice.

Well, linux varients like ubuntu install almost all drivers. In my previous machine, my sound card (ALS400) drivers were automatically installed by neither 98 nor xp, but ubuntu did it along with all other drivers (except for modems)... If you want to try Linux, just test the latest knoppix live version! No one can say that it's not user friendly!
But as far as laws are'nt tough, I'll remain with windows!

    Where I'm now
In linux distros almost all the drivers come built in and dont have to change much in the versions or upgrade hardware for the changing versions. And u can use wine to run exes in linux. Its free.
