Second, Unless you have a Degree or something from US, They wont let you work directly in your field. meaning, If you even have a PHD in Science, but that PHD is from another country other than Canada or USA, Then they wont let you work as a PHD worker. you need to study something here in your field, atleast for a year to work in your field.

-If you are PR or Citizens, then you get Free Health Care.
-If you are 25 and Under, you get Free Medicine.
-If you are in Low or Middle income family, and your kids apply to University or College, they get Free loans.
-If you became Canadian, you get to Visa free to many countries. and you can also apply to Sri lankan embassy, and become Dual Citizens in both countries.
-If yu have kids under 18, Gov pays you child tax.
-Schools are Free until Grade 12.
- You dont have to Work on Holidays, (as you get paid holidays), but if you wish to work on a holiday. you get double pay.

* Most free things arent actually free, yes its deducted by Tax. but everyone in Canada who work has to pay taxes. (If you get paid low, your taxes r low, n if you get paid high, your taxes are high) - But you also will get a Tax refund at the end of year, if you have paid more.

SriLanka isn't heading anywhere, you can see the trend in the last election. Only jokers are in the damn parliament and which way you shuffle the pack, you will still end up with a set of jokers. Needless to talk about how clever is the average voter.
If you have friends or relatives in any of these countries - try to go there as they will help you. The answer to your question depends on your personal circumstances. The other factors are the job opportunities and the weather conditions. Do a search yourself. Only you can decide.

Its a lil complicated process in applying to Canada, as Pr/Student/Work.
Y? Its not like you are changing a your house from Kottawa to Maharagama, The gov needs to be careful of who is coming here and not. so yes. you have to go through that complicated process!

In my opinion, It depends person to person. my case, Nope, i wouldnt come back to Sri Lanka if its like Malaysia.
Dont get me wrong, I love Sri lanka (and Canada) but, our politicians, and our own people have destroyed it. Look at recent events!!
I would come to Sri Lanka for Vacations (as nature wise, its really beautiful). But i woudnt be living in SL.

Yes, I mean its like that everywhere! Thats why you work hard to find that!

my parents are living in Canada. but all my realtives (cousins including) are in SL. I have way more friends in Canada to talk than Sri lanka. and it grows over time. (i have been here more than 8years) And once you pass 1-2years in here, you need to feel like its Home! you need to accept that you have 2 homes, in Sri lanka and Canada as well.
