well i have a wireless router and its been shared for 3 pcs machan
so yes, ma family members do access Internet ( and this problem prevails in all other PCs too )

yep, cannot access to any .lk domain :baffled:
even this elakiri.lk
Did you restart the router?
Turn it off, wait for 3-5 mins and then turn back on..
Then try again
If you've still get the problem, try to setup the router again.... Before that... what's the brand of the router? And are you 100% sure that other domains work properly? (.com, .org, .net etc) Copy and Paste the contents of the hosts file which jack&coconut told you.

ok, so either your ISP is blocking access or there's something wrong with the France<-->LK NS traffic.
In your router, change the DNS to :
    208.67.222.222
    or
    208.67.220.220

and see if that solves the problem.

    Taken From a another Forum

if anyone here has been having a problem with their ADSL connection (1MBit) i finally got it fixed...
As from last week SLT is migrating there new subscription lines ( i.e- other other than Home, Entree & office) so there servers do not automatically define the DNS server...this has to be done manually...

    Networking Options->Choose adapter->Properties
Internet Protocol version 4/TCPIP (i dont know about 6) -> Properties -> General Tab-> Set check for Use the foll: DNS....

    Pref: 203.115.0.46
    Alt: 203.115.0.47

Restart PC & it should be Up again....

At random sumtimes DNS servers that slt assign goes offline or expires

Hmm.. Interesting to know how SLT servers work
I think people can legally complain to the TRC if this happens all the time.
Configuring DNS primary and alternative are the responsibility of the ISP AFAIK.
    Anyway problem solved ne :D
