Carbon Tax

Yesterday went to divisional secretriate office to renew the licence of my bike normally they charge Rs. 770/= but there charging an extra amount Rs. 135/= called carbon tax all together Rs. 835/= many of others who came to renew was fighting with the counter people about this. Anyway why do we need to do emission testing if we have to pay carbon tax

It’s true. If your vehicle passes the emission test you shouldn’t be required to pay a carbon tax If not why stop there? tax people as well since we also produce carbon. But that money should be put into use to reduce the carbon footprint of SL. Not for something else
