    there are alot of this type of softwares. Securom, Safedisk... Almost all the copy protection mechanisms you find in games are like this.

    I cudnt find a place to download these. you better keep trying. But one thing though, none of these are 100% secure mechanisms which means the right person who knows what he is doin can get the data no matter wat... :) :lol::lol::lol:

    There are methods to put voluntary sectors-errors on the disk so it fails when copying.
    The way windows computers read the discs and standalone CD/DVD players read the discs are different. So using that you can make illegal CD track sizes, changing the layout of data on the CD etc.. to make normal software players or rippers can't copy the content.

    But anyway those methods are also can be cracked with proper software or using some other operating systems which read disks in different ways.
    So in my opinion there are no way to protect video or audio without watermarking or encryption.

    But software or games its possible to protect them for some extend.
