Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) afflicted trade unions are threatening to go on strike from December if they’re not granted a 44 per cent pay hike that they demanded before the Budget.
“We made our proposal for the salary hike to the National Salaries Commission but we have been told that we will be granted only a 15 per cent pay hike,” Chairman of the Joint Electricity Board Workers Union Ranjan Jayalal said.
