A mother's heart is golden. She gives birth to us, she feeds us, bathes us, teaches us, disciplines us and most of all- loves us. Our mom had her hands full with five children. She made sure we had our homework done, took us to the library to allow us to explore the world of reading and to gain knowledge, made sure we had a nice warm house with plenty of food. In which ever way the wind blows, mom has to allow her children to take off in life. She still has the kite string to pull us back if the wind current gets too strong, and yet we are free to fly as high as we can in life. Someday, when our mom is much older and needs us, we want to be there for her as much as she was there for us. One day, when we have children of our own, we hope that our hands are gentle and as caring as our own mother's touch. Mother’s Day is a day for many people to show their appreciation towards mothers and mother figures worldwide. It is an annual event but is held at different dates in the calendar, depending on the country.
