Isn't this nude girl insult even the "Rajapaksa" name?
"Rajapaksa" is a name treated with great reverence by today's Sinhalese Buddhists. It belongs to the greatest leader of Sinhale ever born after the Sapumal Kumaraya. Even Keppetipola has not been such a brave and successful leader as our beloved current president. For what he had done for us by bravely fighting with Tamil terrorists, we trust and respect him so much that we are ready to worship even the name. We treat that name as the one of a GOD. That is why we do not tolerate anybody abusing such a great name.
We are sure "Rajapaksa" should not be a name given to somebody who appears naked in beauty pageants. As we have repeatedly pointed out, beauty pageants nude or not is against Sinhalese Buddhist traditions. So those who are blessed with great names should not insult that great name by performing such derogatory acts. They should instead get involved with such activities that uplift the culture of this country.
They call this a "SWIM SUIT PARADE"? It may be a "SWIM SUIT" to shameless Western Europeans and Australians and USAians (See the photo below) but not to us, the true Sinhalese Buddhists. Do respectable true Sinhalese Buddhists girls wear suits like this when they swim in rivers in villages? Instead wearing such a shameless pieces of clothes like this they wear "DIYA REDDAS" to cover their bodies to protect them from the looks of perverts. So why not this girl wear a "DIYA REDDA" to the Beauty Pageant if she wanted to participate so badly? Why could not she explain to the organizers that is how we Sinhalese Buddhists wear when we swim and we are not ready to blindly follow everything imposed upon us by west?
Most respectable Sinhalese girls sometimes even bath with their ordinary clothes when they have to bath in open. In our extended family annual trip last month to Kataragama that was how all my cousin sisters bathed in Menik Ganga. That is because they are brought up in respectable house and have grown up with LAJJA (shame) and BAYA (fear). They bathed wearing t-shirts and jeans. (Of course with all the relevant underwear) If they have participated in this beauty pageant they would never have won this type of shameless "SWIM SUIT" even if somebody threatened to kill them. They would have argued for their right to wear t-shirts and jeans as the "SWIM SUIT" because it is what they wear when they swim here, in Menik Ganga or elsewhere. Why this girl does not have such a spine to argue? She cannot be a try Sinhalese Buddhist even if he has a Rajapaksa name.
Due to westernization many asian culture is seen as a old joke by many youth today,
