while i was in Hong Kong 12 years (till relocate to the useless country) most of Sundays, we used to go to Chine for lunch, but i feel China not a bad country unless you are politically motivated. you can find all sort of fast food outlets, other things which available in Hk than cheaper price. Some of my friends (English people who married to Chinese lady) they daily travel from Chine to HK. I think outsider, china is good country to visit. why we are worried about politics ?????
honestly i have not been more than 200km inside of chine, most of the time we visit with our known friends, who studied and live there, most of them are marine engineers or ship building engineers, i have not feel that way, we used go for hair cut in China(cheap),before hair cut they offer tahi massage, that time they I mean young girls used show the skin color difference just for the fun i do not know how they do it for long run, in my office, I had a friend engineer he is British engineer, black guy, very tall, married to HK girl, he find difficult to work there because of he taller than others, people notice him when ever he available in public places.

If you intend to live in metro, you will not have much trouble. But when you travel to regional provinces, they are rude as fuck. Special tip: shave your face when you travel there. If they think you are a muslim, your life will not be easy.
Food is excellent and cheap. Always go in metered taxis. They have knockoffs of almost all the big brands, toys to real cars. It's normal for the girls in the shops to hold on to your hands to stop you from leaving the shop without buying anything

Places like Beijing is expensive to settle down. But life is good there if you can earn lot of money and if you don't care about fucked up lungs and politics. Don't talk about chinese politics while in China.
