We've been using Chlorine to purify water even before my parents were born, besides, the filter removes chlorine to the point that you can't guess if its chlorinated water by the smell or the taste. Fill it up with water smell and taste like Chlorine (water straight from the tap always does) and you get water with no recognizable trace of Chlorine whatsoever so I really can't understand why people keep saying that pureit filter can't filter Chlorine out of Chlorinated water
