cima is a management accounting qualification, and its a professional 1. and the recognition for the cima is quite good when go for the job... completion of cima concidered as a eqal for the degree..but to do masters u have to have 5 years of experience in relevant field..but when migrating u can earn points equal to mba....but better u focus on academic qualification while doing cima ... cima will cost around 450000 and it totally depends on your perofrmance @ the exams....wisdom .virtual, achievers are good institutions for the cima in colombo..... always keep cima as a value added qulaification, otherwise it consumes ur time and money heavilly.... .......thats the advice 4 u alll

coool hey bro if we complete we can get ACCA membership as well ha???

If you have finished CIMA you get exemptions till the final stage in ACCA. In the final stage there are 5 subjects. within one year you should be able to finish all provided you pass all at one shot. (there's also an affiliated degrees from Oxford Brooks Uni in applied accounting you can get while doing ACCA. for this you only need to complete till the final stage and a research, but if you have granted exemptions the procedure is bit different)

In CIM you get exemptions for the first stage. You have to complete the other 2 stages.

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is a United Kingdom-based professional body offering training and qualification in management accountancy and related subjects, focused on accounting for business; together with ongoing support for members.

meka nerds and poth gullanta adala naha. But if you belong to that 90% of the AL students who couldn't qualify to go to state universities, then you should read my thread before getting lost in life, in couple of years, by undertaking a extremely tough exam like CIMA as your only hope for success. There is a good discussion going in there, by people who terribly failed this exam, so read it and make a wise decision, without listening to some nerd who brags that he completed it in 2.5 years.

I personally know a guy who flunked A/Ls ( he got only 1S and 2Fs) and he finished CIMA and he's just about to finish ACCA as well. It's just the little effort that you need. This is a true story.

If you say CIMA is a very hard exam I don't know what you'll call for CFA. CFA is 1000 times harder than CIMA mt friend but there are still people who pass the exam. Life is not a bed of roses and failures are the pillars of success. Just dont hate CIMA just becuase you couldn't finsh it, where I'm today is because of CIMA and Im happy to share my knowledge with anyone who wants finish this BASIC qualification in Corporate World.

and who you calling "silly buggers"? those of us who couldn't make it to the local universities?

api wage tax payers lage salli walin ubalata free university educationuth deela, anthime apita ahaganne wenne silly buggers kiyala.

This is why SB must open private universities soon, and give that opportunity to every single AL passer, not just the 10% nerds like you.
