City Liner’ to ease Colombo traffic
The ‘City Liner’ bus service to reduce traffic in the Colombo city was launched from Moratuwa today. Under the scheme, those entering Colombo in private vehicles from the Galle Road could park their vehicles at the ‘Park and Ride’ car park in Katubedda and take a comfortable and air conditioned City Liner bus to Colombo city. Initially five buses with a seating capacity of 30 passengers will be started from Katubedda. These buses will leave Katubedda to Colombo Fort and vice-versa every half an hour.
