Computers do not need Ram to run application or store data. It only need big cache and ssd which should be put in memory slots to run applications. This could reduce pc production cost. Most of the time pc is paging because of lack of memory. SSD has enough capacity run as memory. Applications can run off ssd directly.

Cache is expensive not as expensive as you think. DRAM is more expensive in the long run before only 2gb is enough now u need 32 gb or more ,besides you need more ram for GPU too , it keeps on rising. There is something called NVram which is future SSD. It is much faster than present SSD flash , but a bit slower than DRAM.It runs in ns similar to DRAM. Keeping cost down similar to Intel celeron. Affordability for masses is the main thing, then the middle class, and the rich.

Theoriticaly mu kiyala thiyana eka aththatama hari,

example ekak widiyta danata thiyana 32bit computer ekak gaththoting, e computer eke thiyana onema application ekakata 2^32 bytes, e kiyanne 4GB memoy ekakta access thiyanawa, computer eke aththatama thiyana ram eka 1MB unat kamak ne paging nisa 4GB address space ekakata access thiyanawa (mekata kiyanawa vertual address space eka kiyala),

(Concept ekak widiyta mewa computer architecure waladi igana ganna puluwan, godak dewal thiyanwa Physical address space, page table, vertual address space, paging .... etc)

E wunata meka theoriticaly hari wunata practicaly hariyanne na ekai seen eka.
