Sri Lanka is getting into more and more online payment esp with Commercial bank debit card.
All reloads and telecom can be done through it via visa debit card. You name it all types of BiLLS of Water, Electricity,telecom etc can be done through online payment.
I am not tryinng to impose commercial bank,but the banking services done through commercial bank is easy compared to other banks debit card which cannot be paid online except for sampath bank web card.
The cost of getting a credit card is not easy for a normal layman in Sri Lanka.Where the annul fees is a waste of money if you have money.
Gone are the days waiting in que to make payment to each bills. Bank payment charges 10rs for each bill payment where as online payment is free.There is no hassles of travelling by bus or auto to many locations too.
