1. It will be automatically recorded in CRIB. This is automated.
2. They will send letters after letters
3. They will send debt collectors to come to your property. Debt collectors can't enter your property without your permission.
4. Debt collectors will shout outside your house saying you have to pay your bill
5. Your guarantors (if any) will be asked to pay
6. Debt collectors can also contact your office (this is illegal but they do it anyway)
7. Debt collectors can also contact your friends and family (this is illegal but they do it anyway)
8. The bank can take you to courts
9. If the courts rules, they can seize your property

What you should do:

Credit card වල පොලිය වැඩි. සතයක් ඉතුරු වෙලා තිබ්බත් මුළු මුදලටම පොලිය වදිනවා කියලා අහලා තියෙනවා. හොදම වැඩේ නිකන් බැංකු ලෝන් එකක් අරන් මේක ගෙවලා. බැංකු ලෝන් එක ගෙවා ගෙන යන එක.

we uncovered some mistakes made by a bank employee.

After a two-month ordeal without a satisfying solution from the bank, so decided to go to FCRD, then Ombudsman

The ombudsman will always ask the customer to approach the bank first. Ombudsman gets involved only if the solution is not satisfactory.
