CSN Broadcasts DW Satellite Channel

CSN has started broadcasting a New German Sat channel named DW.

Anybody here watched it ? I did. Interestingly, they have some good documentaries and lifestyle programs. Finally Rupavahini has done something good.

remember i think back in 1998 when rupavahini started airing discovery channel programs, ITN started showing shows from german DW to compete with Rupavahini.
i also remember them posting ads asking for german translators to put subtitles into those programs.. nice documentaries they had back in those days..

Hmm, You are talking about the early days that EYE started as Rupavahini-2. Actually they had very good programs back then. there was a program named "Extreme Machines". that was my all time favorite though

by all means, DW cannot come closer to Discovery, still something is better than having to watch only repeat sport programs.

I think now DW itself dubs all the programs prior to airing. hence the language would not become a barrier for its global transmission.

biggest issue i have is whether csn paid the one billion tax or was it another yahapalana drama caz csn is still up n running and the tax had to be paid before April if i remember right.
