yes i listen to metal ..i just said something ive noticed in the metal scene not only in sl ..actually my statement was least based on sl metal scene cos i dont really know much about it..

i totally agree with you ,,we can't draw the line even they couldnt ...

i mean look at the guy in the first page i mean they said a vocalist from a band looking evil ...but later on he's said to be so nice and friendly..what is the logic in it i feel sad for him ..it was only an example though

Ya actually what I fell is how they have misinterpreted this type of music...
PLus some "fans" really look for that and judge their "rock and roll"-ness by that weird appearance...

I mean afterall it is music, but why should it affect the listner's lifestyle?

Metal never was & never will be about negativity..Its all about Positiveness (Except sum depressive, doom & Sludge ??? metal maybe.."Twisted" can confirm or Reject this for sure)... When u hav had a hard day or feeling down..Metal always gets you up... its a rush

About Violence... Of Course..Its an aggressive style (But again not all the Metal Genres talk about violence)..Does Rap music talk about Love & friendship ? (Again in Rap too there are sub-genres that talks about violence more than others as in any genre)

My point is..u r just an outsider looking in.. just because u went to a metal gig doesnt mean that u know the genre. Its like saying "I visited a Hindu Kovil a couple of times so I know all bout Hinduism"..it doesnt work that way...

Either u get Metal or u dont... it seems that u dont...so either dont listen to it & stop criticizing something u dont understand fully or hope some of these days u get it..Then Welcome to the club bro..

Dude..its just music... When did Metal became a Social Movement ha ?

I dont know about others but I listen to metal & will..only for the music..nothing else... It gets me high than any other genre.. Been listening to it for a long time & will continue to enjoy it & will respect the bands that put their handwork to giv us the music that we love....

Do you think that All the Black Metal Bands are Satanists ? No they are not... Its just a music Style they love to listen & they love it so much that they decided to make their own music by forming a band... I agree that there are guys (Sum Black Metal Bands in SL) who follow satanism..but dont think it is followed as a religion but only as a philosophy..(One such Band member sent me a copy of the Black Bibile..but after I read it I do not agree with it entirely...as it is a philosophy which only promotes Individuality... but it has some positive points as well..but the extreme individualization buries all the positives for me)

So my point is you need knowledge about the genre you listen to but you dont have to live it... Some might chose to but most dont...They love it for the spark they get when listening to it.. And so do most bands... (Imagine Cannibal Corpse or Bloodbath Trying to kill & torture people for food just because they make music about it ? )
