Good point but it the way he faced the enemy army does not prove your point that he was cowardly..ne?
no, the way he killed his father and took the throne by banishing his brother, and the way he hid himself up in his castle for most of the 18 years of his rule, does prove my point.

If there was two way radio at that time, he most certainly would've stayed in his fortress and sent his army up front.
Since there was no two way radio at the time, he had to be in the field leading it. Its just a matter of not having the technology.
General Eisenhower lead the allied forces from his head office and not from the battle field. That doesnt make him a coward.
King Dutugamunu and Elara faced each other to save lives... If they were cowards they could have let their armies fight and wait for some more time for the outcome... When people become more cowardly they invent cowardly devices to kill enemies from distance...

    now you're just harping nonsense.
Different times uses different strategies with the advent of different technologies.
At the ancient times the kings had to lead the battle and direct from up front since they didnt have good and fast communication methods to assess the battle ground situation.
With the advent of telephones and other methods of instant communication, this is no longer a necessity.
That's all there is to it.

I think... it was not sure... Mugalan was a weak person..Kashyapa would have been imprisoned or exiled, which is disgraceful.. Better to be killed by himself.

    isn't this war abt ?
i mean throughout history it was the most/more powerful entity that attacked/went to war with the lesser powerful ryt
    (EDIT)
so Mugalan must've been week in his military skills or wat evaaa

but given against any enemy wouldn't it be the greatest way to die ( killed by ur sworn enemy ?)
