Good point but it the way he faced the enemy army does not prove your point that he was cowardly..ne?kosandpol said:Yeah, you're doing the same with only taking the piece of his life at the time of his death.

no, the way he killed his father and took the throne by banishing his brother, and the way he hid himself up in his castle for most of the 18 years of his rule, does prove my point.Reshmi85 said:Good point but it the way he faced the enemy army does not prove your point that he was cowardly..ne?
King Dutugamunu and Elara faced each other to save lives... If they were cowards they could have let their armies fight and wait for some more time for the outcome... When people become more cowardly they invent cowardly devices to kill enemies from distance...kosandpol said:If there was two way radio at that time, he most certainly would've stayed in his fortress and sent his army up front.
Since there was no two way radio at the time, he had to be in the field leading it. Its just a matter of not having the technology.
General Eisenhower lead the allied forces from his head office and not from the battle field. That doesnt make him a coward.
Where did you read his story..kosandpol said:no, the way he killed his father and took the throne by banishing his brother, and the way he hid himself up in his castle for most of the 18 years of his rule, does prove my point.
kosandpol said:Japan's corporate world is far different from the rest of the world. The way their offices operate is according to the 'bushido' of the bureaucrat.
That's what I was referring to.
