We use a lot of all AIOs. The major advantage is the space saving. One power cable required. Ethernet cable required too but what I buy has built in WiFi.
Also in-built camera for video conferencing.
Disadvantages - You cannot select powerful video cards.
We go for Dell AIO 27" display with normal Intel HD graphics or GTX 1050.

What about the repairing and durability due to the heat?

No problems... Out of 150 Dell AIOs in two labs running 24/7 only one motherboard failed during a period of 3 years.
These do not get overheated. (but these are in an A/C environment)

Pro- Space Saving
Good for an average user

Cons - 1. You can't upgrade a whole lot and even the possible upgrade component will cost you an arm and a leg (i tried upgrading Mac Ram for 16GB they ask me 50 K)
2. Low Powerd Processor
3. The repair cost is high
4. they have low-end Graphic cards if you are a Gamer Graphic designer or 3D this is not going to be your cup of tea
5.Bit Pricey (i think)

TRY going for a MINI ATX if you are really worried about space
