    Sorry but you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. That's not a very high end gaming PC, not a good video editing PC and definitely not a good PC for 3D animation.

    All these 3 require inherently different features to perform optimally, and the above system fails in every regard.

    1. A gaming PC is as strong as its graphics card. You can build a PC for 150k with a R9 280X and will give you the exact same gaming performance as the above PC. A 350K gaming PC will have 2x R9 290s in Crossfire. That's around 3x the gaming performance of the above PC.

    2. A video editing PC requires a fast and reliable hard drive setup. The recommended option is adding RAID card and going for a 3/5 hard drive RAID 5 setup. As for the graphics card, the recommended would be a GTX760/Quadro K2000 or above. 350k will buy you an entry level 4K editing system.

    3. 3D animation requires a lot of rendering power and a workstation graphics card for viewport performance. Depending on your software preference, go for a Quadro or Firepro graphics card.

    :lol::lol: this is not my spec this is a one of USA Video editor's computer spec.. I put R9 280X becuase of the price range. actually this is a video editing computer. In Sri Lankan computer price any one can't get a good computer under there budget. and one thing give us a 350k PC with 2 r9 280x and same performance as a above PC spec.

    These are good spec for each category. but 400k for only gaming. it's a wast of money. I gave spec for all three categories. so he can do graphic, video editing and gaming. that's why i put heading Graphic/Video editing/Gaming. PC 3 in 1 PC. my spec and your video editing spec are same.:lol::lol::lol: so what the hell you are talking. my 1st spec includes monitor also. that's why i put R9 280x graphic card.and also,

    WD Black is the fastest hard drive for everyday desktop use. For RAID systems, you need to use enterprise class hard drives. Regular desktop hard drives do not have the required circuitry to run a reliable RAID 5 setup. Also a RAID 5 setup requires a RAID card which costs around Rs 50k. That's what's missing from your system price.

    People who do proper video editing never go with MSI m/b, unless they dont know and take the word of the seller, you need to go with workstation level Motherboard of ASUS / Intel if systems are to be built.

    Without a proper foundation a system cannot be built, Many dont even know where an SSD is used and they just use the SSD its like that the M/b is also used.

    So best is before a system is build contact the vendor who can supply it, and go with his thoughts.

    Also some editing cards need specific models of M/B, VGA so you need to select the correct card you cannot simply select a AMD or NVIDIA lower end vga even a 760 does not work well.

    Also video editing and Animation needs to move out of desktop its not for desktop pc use. Its for stable environment, so Work station M/B and even a Xeon Processor will be better off. Xeon is infact the same price as the desktop processor.

    So based on the M/B it self one will know what type of environment a system has been built, Those who do up market gaming system think of this m/b so they think its also good for other application so they go with this.

    Yes but for starters I would say your effort was great. This gives an eye opener for genuine buyers to know what is essential for each type rather than going based on what the seller says.

    I will not say the seller is allways correct but some sellers know what they sell at least 80-90%.

    But most customers 90% do not go to them since they may not know them. So what you have done is very good.

    When was the last time you sold a high end video editing system? How many high end video editing systems have you sold in the past year? 3? So no, you do not know what people who do proper video editing buy.

    We've sold hundreds, and our highest failure rates have been from Asus motherboards, especially Sabertooth boards. So no, they are not as reliable as you might think. As a responsible vendor, you should not try to make money off market perception. As for Intel, they stopped making consumer boards because they themselves admit that their boards were bad.

    Also unlike you, we provide full solutions that include capture cards, RAID cards and workstation graphics cards, so we do know quite a bit about the compatibility of these products with motherboards. Once again, please do not try to rake money in through customer ignorance.

    Like you said, it's best to go to a vendor who knows what they are talking about and are ready to put their money where their mouth is. And someone who also sells high end workstations on a regular basis.

    As for the server boards and Xeon processors, agreed that they are more reliable. However, unless a dual socket system is involved, most people prefer the raw power and overclockability of a Core i7 system over the marginal reliability offered through a Xeon system. If anyone requires a Xeon system, we have them available.
