Geetq is true....

Btw.. Dialog HSPA offers a maximum speed between 1Mbps to 1.5Mbps..(Usage upto 5GB)..
This is true for Mobitel too.. Both parties claim that they can offer 7.2Mbps....

Mobitel is giving 7.2Mbps in limited locations only.. An engineer working at Mobitel told me you can get a 7.2Mbps speed in Excel world..

May be dialog also offering this speed at specific locations. ..but Im nt aware about these locations at the moment... That may be the case they are advertising as it is..

Ane, mokkadda? koi schooletada giye? eeee!:P
kamak ne, mang kiyala dennam.

1 KB = 1024B
1024KB = 1MB

and kbps is kilo bits per second
KBps is kilobytes per second

Dialog promised to offer: 7.2Mbps
that is, (7.2 x 1024 ) / 8 = 921.6KB/s

(8 bit = 1 byte)

*Meka oyage ganan sir tath penanna!:nerd:

    Dialog goes 3.75G

At a time like this, dialog goes for 3.75G, saying that it will offer 14.4Mbps, Oh! even they cant offer their promised speed, 7.2Mbps, then how can they offer 14.4Mbps, They are cheating customers by putting some decimal points behind 3 in 3G.

I was expecting Bharathi Airtel, which will start its services in latter part of this year. There are many lies spreading about Airtel, saying that they will cover whole lanka on one tower, they use satelite GSM, etc.

But, this is true situation, Bharathi Airtel does not offer 3G in even in India, they still use GSM, No HSDPA. They will not build towers in sri lanka, at start they are going to give services in shared infrastructure basis, where they share towers with other operator like dialog. Being dependent on an other operator is not nice.

Especially, there are limitations for a certain towers, the number of users it can hold is depends on the strength of the infrastructure, So, giving service in one tower in one tower iss impossible.

OH! such a long post, isn't it?
