IPTV advantages over SAT TV (Dialog TV all other SAT providers)

    1. Time Shift TV , Watch the programs you like in your free time. And rewind any program or TV channel.

    2. High Definition (HD) Video and Audio

    3. Video on demand (VOD)

SLT claims they will give it cheaper than Dialog. So it will be more cost effective.
Anyway Dialog may reduce the price when SLT announce their packages. But still i think IPTV is the better option than the SAT TV due to those great features.

I Dont think that SLT will be able to provide IPTV cheaper than Dialog....Bcoz if we get IPTV also we should take ADSL...:baffled: (I'm not sure... but i think so)
so are they give ADSL lesser than 500 LKR

There is nothing like you should have internet if you get IPTV.
It used the same copper cable. And same IP technology to transfer video data.
But nothing like you should buy internet and pay for internet without any use.

Is SLT broadband connection (Internet) compulsory to avail IPTV?

The SLT Telephone Line is must, but SLT broadband connection (Internet) is not mandatory.

    Any pre-requisites for IPTV services?

SLT Landline telephone with ADSL connectivity
A set top Box (STB) to connect the ADSL modem/router to the TV

currently SLT provide 512 kbps for 1000 LKR per month. If they afford IPTV they need minimum bandwidth 3mbps. how can they manage it?

    හත් ඉලව්වෙ!
In rainy Forcast we can Watch DTV without Bothering so much like when we were using Ordinary Tv Antenas. But When IPTV gets in to the Field We will not be Able to that coz it uses the Telephone line...So there is a point...but most of us usually don't Watch tv in Rainy ,actually in thundery forcast...
but these days cost is the main point ..so better wait a bit and see their issues of Packeges..
